ASPIRE E5 |
Now it’s more than six month I’m using this notebook (Acer Aspire E5 – 573G – 566S). As per my usages it proved itself to be a nice laptop for moderate to heavy gaming (with some tweaks in game settings), video editing and of course for daily usage.
I got my
lappy somewhere in late April from Reliance Digital, Durgapur (WB). My budget
was somewhere around 45K and it was the best configuration at that spot or may
be at that time.
The configurations are :

Intel Core i5 (5th gen) and Nvidia GeForce 920 M |
The CPU is 5th Generation Intel Core i5
and GPU is from Nvidia (GeForce 920 M).
You can know more about Intel processors here.
To know more about Nvidia GeForce family click here.
Acer boasts of its signature Trueharmony optimal sound. It is good. But prefer using headphones.
The laptop supports M-Disc. It also boasts of a precision touchpad though I don't like it coz some time it is not responsive.
The notebook comes with original Windows 10 Home. (with DOS is also available).
Let the
figures be kept aside… and talk about the practical experience.
As I know
games and rendering are one of the best ways to take the cores to its extent. I
tried playing Call of Duty Ghosts, Need for Speed Rivals, Max Payne 3, Assassin's
Creed Brotherhood and few others. They were smooth though COD lagged which was
easily solved by lowering the quality a bit.
Video rendering is fast.
During the process CPU reaches its highest frequency and other applications
starts lagging. Which is quite normal I think.
The processors tends to heat
up while playing and doing intensive stuffs but its bearable, the fan work well
so is the heatsink.
Webcam is good, not the best,
will do daily needs. It says itself to be certified by Skype and the audio is
clear. All the wireless works good. So is the battery backup. Easily you can
get 4-5 hrs (exception while gaming).
You can see two USB 3.0 ports on the left along with HDMI, Ethernet and VGA output ports.
A 3 mm audio I/O is also present.
Right is having a optical drive and a USB 2.0 port and the charging port.
A SD card reader is also present in front along with LED indicators.
Operating System offered is Windows 10 Home. It get continuous updates from Microsoft and the user interface is much better than Windows 8. It is attractive and supports gestures which helps a lot in multitasking fast. It also supports more than one desktop, which is good in maintaining privacy.
So, to conclude I think this is a quite good laptop and will do daily requirements along with moderate gaming and video editing without giving you a chance to complaint.
You can go with it.
